Dining Update

I want to thank the residents who took their time to share with me their concerns about the Dining Program. Your input is always appreciated. As many of you are aware, Lauren, Chef Don and I met with a focus group of 3 residents to get some input and feedback. We felt the meeting was very productive. We will be having these focus groups again in the future and will include new residents in these discussions. We feel this is the best way to get immediate input. If you want to be considered for a future focus group, just let me know.

Attached to this Mirror is the Delaney Diners’ Bill of Rights. It is very important to us that you know that your voice can be heard. Please use the available comment cards – or just talk to Lauren, Mark or me. It is everyone’s goal to have a congregate dining program that is healthy, affordable, and one that gives Kinneret residents the opportunity to socialize with friends and neighbors. Studies have shown that seniors who participate in congregate dining programs are happier, healthier, and experience less depression and feelings of isolation.

If you are new to Kinneret or new to the dining program, just stop by the kitchen any day after 11am and ask for Mark. He will make sure you find a place to sit, and he will introduce you to your tablemates!

We have added a Birthday Celebration to the first Wednesday of each month during dinner. Dessert choices that night will also include a slice of birthday cake.
