August 30, 2010

The Kinneret Council on Aging will proudly pay tribute to eight individuals over the age of 80 who have made significant contributions to the Central Florida community on Sunday, February 27th, 2011. “The 8 over 80 event really resonates with the mission of the Kinneret Council on Aging and the inspiring stories we hear about seniors who contribute to our community through leadership, activism, altruism and philanthrophy”, said Carol Feuermen, 8 over 80 Chairperson and Vice President of the KCOA Board.

Members of the community have between now and October 15, 2010 to submit nominations. Individuals may nominate more than one person. “We are looking for individuals who continue to participate actively in the community, defying stereotypes associated with older adults and refusing to slow down,” said Leslie Collin, Director of Development and Community Affairs for the Kinneret Council on Aging.
